South Australia Votes: Solar thermal or Gas

Jay Weatherill is currently deciding whether the South Australian Government buys its power from clean, on-demand solar thermal power with storage in Port Augusta or polluting and expensive gas.

This decision is the strongest lever Jay Weatherill has to make solar thermal happen in Port Augusta creating new jobs for the community beyond coal and bringing online the next generation of renewable power for South Australians.

The Premier is expected to announce his decision by June 2017, so it's critical South Australians voices are heard. That's why we're holding a state wide vote. Back in 2012 the Port Augusta community held a community vote to declare they want solar thermal, now its time for all South Australians to have their say.

Vote now and let the Premier know whether you want him to buy power from solar thermal in Port Augusta, or gas.
